Drogenpolitik bei "Bündnis 90/die Grünen" |
Julia Seeliger
Julia Seeliger ist Politikerin in der Partei Bündnis 90/Die Grünen und seit 2007 Mitglied des Parteirates dieser Partei.
Julia was born in 1979 in Northern Germany and grew up in a little village. Before she started to do political work in the Green Party, she was engaged as a judo-trainer for kids - in sports-clubs, but also at schools; she wears the black belt. Between 1999 and 2001 she worked at a non-commercial citizen radio-station, Radio Okerwelle.
In 2002 she started doing Green Party politics in Bonn, the former capital of Germany. Fortunatly, she fastly connected with a lovely Young Greens group, the Young Greens Bonn. With these friends, she started many creative activities, f.e. the drug legalisation action “coffee shop” or tree rescue activities - and also many other local politics activities.
In 2004, she became treasurer of the German Young Greens (links to english description). She helped to prepare the copy4freedom campain, which is dealing about open source, free licenses and legal filesharing. In the national board, she did media politics, anti-nazi-politics, drug politics and all other that is dealing with democracy. November 2006, she finished her work in the national board; in December 2006 she was surprisingly elected into the governing council of the german Green party.
Julia lives in Berlin, she likes that subculture feeling in this amazing city, the cheap flats and also the numerous historical links. Her favorite time is the summer. At the moment, she is doing her diploma in “technical journalism”. She always uses Linux on her computers. In her free time, she likes cooking, eating, reading (literature), meeting friends and going to (electronic music) partys.
